Precious Metals and Aluminum Reclamation Facility
(Environmental Compliance Management)
Mostardi Platt developed a complete Environmental Compliance Management Program for a precious metals, aluminum, and steel reclamation facility.
The program was designed to be comprehensive enough to be used independently by the facility's different operations (precious metals, aluminum, and steel reclamation). The program was divided into three environmental compliance management plans, which separately identified the specific compliance requirements for each operation.
During the completion of the Environmental Compliance Management Program, Mostardi Platt worked with the facility's Environmental Manager in the completion of air emissions testing and air emission source construction/operating permitting activities.

International Electronics Manufacturer
(Air Emissions Compliance and Permitting)
Mostardi Platt conducted an air emissions compliance test of a coating line at this major electronics manufacturer.
During the course of this project, Mostardi Platt identified several potential violations. Mostardi Platt helped the client address these violations. Our activities included data collection, the preparation of more than 40 air permit applications, the evaluation and selection of control strategies, and the development of a compliance plan.
Mostardi Platt also assisted in negotiations
with regulatory authorities. This enabled the client to obtain
a reasonable settlement and operating permits for the emissions
sources.

Automobile Dealership
(Environmental Site Assessment)
Mostardi Platt conducted an Environmental Site Assessment, Soil Contamination Investigation, and developed a Corrective Action Plan.
Five historic, and one current, underground
storage tank areas at an automobile dealership property were
the focus of this assessment. Mostardi Platt performed a Phase I Site
Assessment and subsequently performed Soil Contamination Assessments
around the tank areas.
After determining the nature and extent of contamination for the property, a Corrective Action Plan was prepared and submitted to the Illinois Environmental Protection Agency.

International Airport Fuel Supplier
(Enhanced Bio-Venting Remediation Design and Implementation)
Mostardi Platt designed and implemented an innovative, in-situ soil remediation system at an underground storage tank yard for a large airport refueling facility.
This tank yard had experienced a catastrophic release of Jet-A aircraft fuel. Mostardi Platt analyzed available data and selected an enhanced bio-venting system.
Components of this system included vapor extraction wells, an irrigation and microbe inoculation system, and a groundwater pump and treat system.
